Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Second Grade Teacher to inspire young learners and support their educational journey. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with students, develop creative lesson plans, and contribute to a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, growth, and success.

Duties

  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for second-grade students.
  • Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior guidance strategies.
  • Support literacy education, math skills, and early childhood development through innovative teaching methods.
  • Incorporate learning technology and educational resources to enhance student understanding and participation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and parents to support individualized learning plans, including special education and early intervention services.
  • Assess student progress regularly using standardized testing and formative assessments; provide tutoring as needed.
  • Mentor students in social-emotional skills, promote inclusive practices for working with children with autism or other special needs, and facilitate library services for literacy growth.

Skills

  • Proven classroom experience with elementary-aged children, especially in second grade.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills for working effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education techniques.
  • Ability to manage classrooms efficiently while implementing behavior management strategies.
  • Familiarity with learning technology tools, standardized testing procedures, and education administration tasks.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or special education needs; knowledge of Montessori or private school teaching environments is a plus.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,290.39 per year
