This leader ensures consistent product quality, cost efficiency, and supply chain reliability for both the commissary kitchen and all restaurant locations. The role requires strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of culinary and operational needs, and the ability to support a high-growth, fast-casual brand.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Procurement &amp; Cost Management<ul><li>Develop and execute a company-wide procurement strategy aligned with brand standards and growth plans.</li><li>Manage purchasing for all food, beverage, packaging, cleaning products, and operational supplies.</li><li>Maintain margin goals by reviewing and negotiating pricing, identifying savings opportunities, and reducing cost variance.</li><li>Implement cost controls and leverage data to support accurate forecasting and budget planning.</li></ul>Vendor &amp; Supplier Relations<ul><li>Evaluate, select, and onboard suppliers that meet quality, reliability, and cost criteria.</li><li>Build strong long-term partnerships with vendors and distributors.</li><li>Conduct quarterly supplier reviews and performance audits.</li><li>Resolve product shortages, delivery issues, or vendor-related operational challenges quickly and effectively.</li></ul>Commissary &amp; Restaurant Support<ul><li>Coordinate purchasing workflows between the commissary kitchen and restaurant locations.</li><li>Ensure consistent availability of ingredients and materials required for scratch cooking and high-volume prep.</li><li>Build ordering systems that support production schedules, menu consistency, and operational efficiency.</li><li>Work closely with culinary leadership on new menu items, working to source quality ingredients at an optimal cost.</li></ul>Inventory, Logistics &amp; Systems Management<ul><li>Implement and manage inventory systems to ensure accurate tracking, waste reduction, and optimized par levels.</li><li>Oversee inbound logistics, delivery schedules, product rotation, and food safety compliance.</li><li>Maintain vendor and item setup within POS and inventory software platforms.</li><li>Lead troubleshooting for invoice discrepancies or supply chain disruptions.</li></ul>Cross-Functional Leadership<ul><li>Partner with culinary, operations, and finance teams to support companywide initiatives.</li><li>Communicate purchasing updates, market changes, and cost impacts to leadership and restaurant teams.</li><li>Train managers (hands on) and commissary staff on procurement protocols and systems usage.</li><li>Lead and mentor procurement coordinators or support staff as the department grows.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>5&ndash;10 years of procurement, supply chain, or purchasing experience in restaurants, hospitality, or food manufacturing.</li><li>Strong negotiation skills and proven cost management expertise.</li><li>Understanding of culinary operations, scratch production, and multi-unit restaurant needs.</li><li>Experience with inventory management software and purchasing systems.</li><li>Highly organized, analytical, and capable of operating in a fast-growth environment.</li><li>Excellent communication and vendor-relationship management skills.</li></ul>Why Join Pressed Caf&eacute;?<ul><li>Work with a dynamic, expanding restaurant group with a strong culinary identity.</li><li>Influence systems, partnerships, and procurement strategies at a pivotal moment in the brand&rsquo;s growth.</li><li>Competitive compensation, bonus structure, and career growth opportunities.</li></ul>Pay: $75,000.00 - $102,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
