Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Math Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching mathematics across various levels, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and discrete math. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, utilizing learning technology, and fostering a positive learning environment to support student success. Experience with curriculum development, classroom management, and standardized testing is highly valued.Duties<ul><li>Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in subjects such as algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, and discrete math.</li><li>Incorporate innovative learning technology and instructional design techniques to enhance student engagement and understanding.</li><li>Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, and standardized assessments; provide constructive feedback to support learning growth.</li><li>Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe and conducive environment for learning.</li><li>Develop supplementary materials for tutoring sessions and individualized instruction tailored to diverse student needs.</li><li>Prepare students for exams through review sessions, practice problems, and mentoring on test-taking strategies.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, research projects, and educational initiatives.</li><li>Participate in school activities such as academic advising, professional development workshops, and parent-teacher conferences.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance in accordance with school policies.</li><li>Engage in ongoing research or scientific research related to mathematics education or related fields such as biochemistry or molecular biology when applicable.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, or related scientific fields such as biochemistry or microbiology; advanced degrees preferred.</li><li>Proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary or higher education level; private school experience is a plus.</li><li>Strong knowledge of mathematical disciplines including algebra, geometry, calculus (including differential equations), organic chemistry (if applicable), genetics, cell biology, microbiology, molecular biology, and science laboratory experience.</li><li>Familiarity with learning technology tools and instructional design methodologies.</li><li>Excellent classroom management skills along with experience working with students of varying abilities including special education needs.</li><li>Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate dissection techniques or laboratory activities when relevant.</li><li>Effective communication skills for mentoring students and collaborating with colleagues.</li><li>Experience with curriculum development, standardized testing preparation, tutoring, research projects, library services integration, and educational administration is desirable.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to proofread materials and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
