Overview We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our supply chain and warehouse management team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in optimizing inventory levels, streamlining procurement processes, and enhancing overall materials management through data-driven insights. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to demand planning, process improvement, and supply chain efficiency within a dynamic retail or e-commerce environment.Duties<ul><li>Monitor and manage inventory levels using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, AS400, and 3PL platforms.</li><li>Conduct data collection, mining, and analysis to identify trends, forecast demand, and support procurement strategies.</li><li>Utilize analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and data visualization techniques to present actionable insights.</li><li>Collaborate with sourcing teams on procurement activities, negotiations, and supplier sourcing strategies.</li><li>Oversee order fulfillment processes ensuring timely delivery and optimal stock levels across distribution centers.</li><li>Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in materials management and warehouse distribution operations.</li><li>Manage purchasing activities, including demand planning and materials sourcing for retail or e-commerce channels.</li><li>Coordinate with warehouse teams on inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and reconciliation efforts.</li><li>Utilize SQL for data analysis and reporting purposes to support strategic decision-making.</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety protocols when operating equipment such as forklifts during inventory handling.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or materials management roles.</li><li>Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and other data visualization tools.</li><li>Knowledge of ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms; experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).</li><li>Familiarity with procurement processes including sourcing, negotiation, and demand planning.</li><li>Experience working within retail management or e-commerce environments is preferred.</li><li>Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets for process improvement opportunities.</li><li>Strong understanding of supply chain concepts including order fulfillment, materials management, and logistics coordination.</li><li>Ability to operate forklifts is a plus but not mandatory; relevant certifications are advantageous.</li><li>Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement. This role is integral to maintaining optimal inventory levels while supporting continuous process improvements within our supply chain operations.
