 Controls Engineer / Controls TA &ndash; Demobilization Project (Oman)
 
 to support control systems, instrumentation, and electrical coordination during plant shutdown and demobilization activities.

 project-based (estimated 2&ndash;4 months)

 .
 
 
 
 The Controls Engineer will be responsible for ensuring safe system shutdown, control system integrity, troubleshooting, and coordination of instrumentation and control activities throughout the demobilization process. This role requires strong experience with turbine control systems, SCADA, and power plant environments.
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 Health, Safety, Environment &amp; Compliance (HSE)
 
 
 
 
 
 
 &bull; Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures for all control and instrumentation activities
 
 &bull; Support PTW and LOTO procedures during shutdown execution
 
 &bull; Coordinate with HSE team to ensure safe system isolation and control readiness
 
 &bull; Report any safety issues, incidents, or equipment failures immediately
 
 
 
 
 
 Shutdown &amp; Demobilization Support
 
 
 
 
 
 
 &bull; Support safe shutdown of control, electrical, and instrumentation systems
 
 &bull; Assist in system isolation, deactivation, and preparation for dismantling
 
 &bull; Ensure control systems are safely transitioned offline
 
 &bull; Support troubleshooting during shutdown and dismantling phases
 
 &bull; Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, and CRO teams for execution
 
 
 
 
 
 Control Systems &amp; Technical Operations
 
 
 
 
 
 &bull; Work with turbine control systems including:

 &bull; Configure and support HMI systems (Wonderware, Cimplicity, iFix)
 
 &bull; Operate SCADA, protection, and control systems as required
 
 &bull; Perform inspections, functional tests, loop checks, and troubleshooting
 
 &bull; Support commissioning, test bench, and system verification activities
 
 
 
 
 
 Maintenance &amp; Engineering Support
 
 
 
 
 
 
 &bull; Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities
 
 &bull; Maintain logs, reports, and system documentation
 
 &bull; Ensure systems meet OEM and project technical requirements
 
 &bull; Provide engineering support to Plant Manager and site teams
 
 &bull; Review third-party control and instrumentation work
 
 
 
 
 
 Coordination &amp; Reporting
 
 
 
 
 
 
 &bull; Coordinate with Plant Manager on scope, maintenance, and interventions
 
 &bull; Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities
 
 &bull; Assist in inventory planning for control systems, tools, and consumables
 
 &bull; Provide technical reporting and system performance updates
 
 
 
 
 
 Training &amp; Team Support
 
 
 
 
 
 
 &bull; Mentor and support plant personnel on control systems
 
 &bull; Work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams

 Required:
 
 
 
 
 
 &bull; Degree in Control, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering
 
 &bull; Minimum 5+ years of experience in controls engineering or technical support
 
 &bull; Minimum 3+ years of experience in power plants (TM2500, LM6000, or similar)
 
 &bull; Strong experience with turbine control systems:

 to support plant operations and ensure safe coordination of shutdown and demobilization activities.
 
 
 
 This role is

 .
 
 
 
 The CRO will be responsible for monitoring plant systems, supporting safe shutdown operations, coordinating PTW/LOTO processes, and maintaining communication with operations and dispatch teams. This role requires strong experience in power plant operations, SCADA systems, and control room environments.
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities

 &bull; Actively participate in Prismecs HSE programs and comply with all safety regulations
 
 &bull; Act as PTW Competent Person, reviewing and approving PTW and LOTO before work begins
 
 &bull; Coordinate closely with HSE team to ensure compliance with safety directives
 
 &bull; Report all incidents, unsafe conditions, and environmental issues immediately
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Control Room Operations &amp; Monitoring
 
 
 
 
 
 
 &bull; Operate SCADA, Protection, and Control Systems in accordance with procedures
 
 &bull; Monitor HMI, GTs, and BOP systems, identifying alarms and abnormalities
 
 &bull; Perform hourly readings and system checks across plant equipment
 
 &bull; Report discrepancies, alarms, or equipment issues to Team Leader
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Shutdown &amp; Demobilization Support
 
 
 
 
 
 
 &bull; Support safe shutdown coordination and plant system monitoring during demobilization
 
 &bull; Ensure systems are safely transitioned and isolated prior to dismantling
