In this role, you will be responsible for managing comprehensive accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering accurate financial reports. We&rsquo;re looking for a motivated professional eager to apply their accounting skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values precision, innovation, and continuous improvement.Duties<ul><li>Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.</li><li>Perform detailed account reconciliation, including general ledger reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness.</li><li>Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining meticulous records.</li><li>Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and review journal entries for correctness, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.</li><li>Assist with financial report writing and interpretation to support management decision-making; prepare reports on cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.</li><li>Support regulatory reporting requirements related to nonprofit accounting as applicable.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven 5+ years of experience in financial or corporate accounting within a public accounting or private equity environment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX compliance, and regulatory reporting standards.</li><li>Hands-on experience with financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft or similar platforms; proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.</li><li>Demonstrated ability in financial statement preparation, financial analysis, cash flow analysis, budget development, and forecasting.</li><li>Familiarity with non-profit accounting practices or governmental accounting is highly desirable.</li><li>Experience with technical accounting issues including accrual accounting, account reconciliation, journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, debits &amp; credits management.</li><li>Excellent understanding of securities law principles relevant to financial reporting; ability to interpret complex financial concepts clearly.</li><li>Strong analytical skills combined with attention to detail; ability to mentor team members effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
