Duties
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
- Perform detailed account reconciliation, including general ledger reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining meticulous records.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and review journal entries for correctness, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist with financial report writing and interpretation to support management decision-making; prepare reports on cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
- Support regulatory reporting requirements related to nonprofit accounting as applicable.
Experience
- Proven 5+ years of experience in financial or corporate accounting within a public accounting or private equity environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX compliance, and regulatory reporting standards.
- Hands-on experience with financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft or similar platforms; proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in financial statement preparation, financial analysis, cash flow analysis, budget development, and forecasting.
- Familiarity with non-profit accounting practices or governmental accounting is highly desirable.
- Experience with technical accounting issues including accrual accounting, account reconciliation, journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits management.
- Excellent understanding of securities law principles relevant to financial reporting; ability to interpret complex financial concepts clearly.

Pay: $64,500.00 - $72,000.00 per year
