Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, procurement processes, and ERP systems to support manufacturing operations and meet organizational objectives.RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Issues purchase orders that accurately reflect price, schedule, terms, and conditions as negotiated with suppliers</li><li>Maintains accurate lead times for assigned commodities</li><li>Order stockroom supplies and raw materials based on established reorder points</li><li>Place MRO purchase orders with established supply base</li><li>Ensure confirmations are received for all purchase orders</li><li>Monitors and evaluates supplier delivery performance. Advises appropriate personnel of impending supplier failure to fulfill</li><li>Support cost reduction program by evaluating alternate suppliers, materials and purchase quantities</li><li>Support material expediting for schedule changes and equipment downtime</li><li>Assist Inventory Specialist with inventory reduction initiatives</li><li>Insure all outside contractors have valid certificates of insurance</li><li>Resolve receipt discrepancies with suppliers by working with receiving, accounting and supplier</li><li>Work with Quality Department, Scheduling, Accounting and suppliers for proper and timely handling of non-conforming materials</li><li>Obtain quotes and samples for new program activities as requested</li><li>Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and quality standards.</li><li>Maintain purchasing records, supplier files, and documentation for audits.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience required</li><li>3 plus years&rsquo; purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment required</li><li>ISM or APICS certification preferred</li><li>Experience with MRP and e-commerce required</li><li>Experience with JIT, VMI, Lean Manufacturing and Kanban preferred</li><li>Knowledge of ISO9001including RoHS, REACH and Conflict Materials</li><li>Strong negotiation skills required</li><li>MS Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint required</li><li>Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required</li><li>Effective interface with all internal and external contacts</li><li>Must possess good communication skills, written and verbal, and must be able to interact with customers and employees.</li><li>Strong attention to details, highly organized, able to multi-task.</li><li>Must be punctual and dependable, able to work with little supervision.</li></ul>Pay: From $60,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development assistance</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>purchasing : 3 years (Required)</li><li>purchase order: 3 years (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
