Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Disorders Medicine

The ARNP provides specialty patient care for adults in an outpatient office setting under direct or general, supervision of a physician. Provides a comprehensive health assessment and evaluation by obtaining the patient medical, social and family history, drug allergies, current medications and vital signs. Establishes diagnoses and is responsible under the physician' supervision for the management of the patent's problems following diagnosis. Initiates appropriate diagnostic testing and special examinations required for the evaluation of illness or chronic conditions and prepares a written summary of care. Communicates to the patient results of ordered tests and initiates treatment plans. Reviews patient records and educates patient and family members regarding visit, examination, treatment and medications, including potential side effects, procedures ordered and testing. Prescribes and/or adjust prescription medications, in accordance with education and management protocols. Assists in the training of health care personnel in certain diagnostic, therapeutic, and clinical techniques, as directed by the supervising physician.QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Graduate of an accredited school as a nurse practitioner.</li><li>Current unrestricted Florida Nurse Practitioner license. Must maintain active license throughout employment is a Nurse Practitioner position.</li><li>Highly proficient in computers and electronic patient records.</li><li>Demonstrated excellent customer-service skills.</li><li>Be a person of integrity and character, willing to embrace change and make a positive impact in the lives of patients and co-workers.</li><li>Ability to work with staff members at all levels of the organization in a cooperative, team-oriented manner.</li><li>Must maintain Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) certification, in accordance with American Heart Association training guidelines in effect at the time the training was conducted, throughout employment in a Nurse Practitioner position.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years clinical experience.</li><li>Ability to perform physical labor, including but not limited to: holding, stooping, kneeling and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds without mechanical aid</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeExperience:<ul><li>Clinical: 3 years (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>APRN (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Pensacola, FL (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
