Putnam Automotive Group is one of the Bay Area's premier multi-franchise dealership groups, operating Honda, Kia, Mazda, Subaru, Toyota, Chevrolet/GMC, CDJR, and Volvo stores across Burlingame and San Carlos. We are launching a new group-level private party vehicle acquisition program and are looking for our first Vehicle Acquisition Specialist to build it with us.What you'll do<ul><li>Source and purchase private party vehicles on behalf of all Putnam stores using platform that aggregate and work listings from Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, AutoTrader, Cars.com, and other private seller channels</li><li>Conduct outreach to private sellers via phone, text, and email to evaluate, negotiate, and close purchases</li><li>Perform mobile appraisals &mdash; meeting sellers at their location to inspect and purchase vehicles</li><li>Coordinate vehicle delivery and placement to the appropriate store within the Putnam group</li><li>Maintain accurate records of all acquisitions using our group stock number system</li><li>Target 18&ndash;25+ vehicle purchases per month</li></ul>What we're looking for<ul><li>Experience in automotive retail, used car buying, or vehicle appraisal strongly preferred</li><li>Strong working knowledge of vehicle valuation tools (Black Book, MMR, Manheim, KBB)</li><li>Confident negotiator &mdash; comfortable working directly with private sellers</li><li>Self-starter who thrives in an autonomous, performance-driven environment</li><li>Highly organized with the ability to manage a high volume of active leads simultaneously</li><li>Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record</li><li>Comfortable with mobile work &mdash; significant time will be spent in the field conducting appraisals</li></ul>Pay: $6,000.00 - $20,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid parental leave</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Parental leave</li><li>Professional development assistance</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Retirement plan</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Used Car Appraisal: 2 years (Required)</li><li>Automotive Dealership: 1 year (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Burlingame, CA 94010 (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
