Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):<ul><li>Assist healthcare providers in documenting patient medical records in real-time</li><li>Accurately and efficiently enter patient information, medical history, and examination findings into electronic health records (EHR) systems</li><li>Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure accurate and complete documentation</li><li>Prepare and organize patient charts for appointments and procedures</li><li>Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations</li><li>Review and verify medical records for completeness and accuracy</li><li>Obtain the patient's medical and medication history and document in EMR.</li><li>Obtain and record a patient's vital signs</li><li>Prepare patient for examination or treatment</li><li>Assist the physician/physician assistant in performing the examination or treatment</li><li>Ability to administer injections</li><li>Ability to accurately withdraw medication to be administered</li><li>Demonstrate the ability to use medical equipment for spinal cord stimulators and intrathecal pump programmers. (where applicable)</li><li>Participate in a comprehensive plan of care to meet the ongoing needs of the patient</li><li>Basic knowledge of human anatomy &amp; physiology and it's relation to the practice of pain management</li><li>Perform administrative tasks such as typing, scheduling of appointments, and maintaining medical records, check in front desk duties, authorizations et al.</li><li>Maintain professionalism and respect to patient privacy at all times</li><li>Punctual and consistent attendance</li><li>Possess excellent time management skills</li><li>Ability to critically think and make appropriate decisions</li><li>Maintain and clean rooms and equipment</li><li>Restock supplies and take inventory of supplies needed</li><li>Assist in other areas of the office (front/back) as needed.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeSkills: - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology - Familiarity with hospital procedures and protocols - Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately transcribe medical information - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare providers, patients, and other staff members - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems - Experience with taking vital signs, or administering medications is a plusNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
