<div>Q-Lab Corporation is currently seeking a Firmware Engineer I to join our team in Westlake, OH. This role will be responsible for
enhancing, troubleshooting, researching, and resolving embedded software challenges on Q-Lab&rsquo;s custom designed controller boards.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Design, develop, and test software to work with Q-Lab testers, devices, sensors, and other peripherals.</li><li>
Engage in all phases of development, including concept, design, documentation, prototype, test and manufacturing.</li><li>
Troubleshoot low level controller/software related problems.</li><li>
Complete QA Testing changes you and other developers have made.</li><li>
Write touchscreen user interface software.</li><li>
Write test instructions, test reports, and engineering change notices.</li><li>
Recommend improvements to Q-Lab&rsquo;s software development process.</li><li>
Provide technical assistance to the engineering, purchasing, service, sales, marketing, and production departments.</li><li>
Work with large-scale embedded systems (100,000+ lines of code).</li></ul>
Required Skills/Experience:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical Engineering or Software Development, or equivalent work experience</li><li>
Knowledgeable with common software development practices and the C programming language</li><li>
Knowledgeable with common embedded software development IDEs (integrated development environments) and debuggers (e.g. Segger J-Link)</li><li>
Strong customer-service orientation. Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills.</li></ul>
Desired Skills/Experience:<ul><li>
Knowledge of communication protocols is a plus (e.g. I2c, SPI)</li></ul>
