About usQuality Time, LLC is a professional pet sitting business that provides peace of mind, happy purrs &amp; wagging tails to Bowie, MD &amp; surrounding area pets since 2001.Our work environment includes:<ul><li>Casual work attire</li><li>Relaxed atmosphere</li><li>Company perks</li><li>Flexible working hours</li></ul>Job Requirements:<ul><li>Pet experience</li><li>Driver's license &amp; 18 years old</li><li>Insured vehicle &amp; health insurance</li><li>Must live within 15 minutes of our office in Bowie, MD 20715 </li><li>Pet First Aid &amp; CPR certified</li><li>App use</li><li>Be detail-oriented, follow directions &amp; be pro-active</li><li>Self-learner And more!</li></ul>Duties:- Walk dogs &amp; visit pets at their homes on a regular basis, ensuring their safety and well-being - Provide safe exercise and mental stimulation for dogs during walks &amp; pets during visits - Follow specific instructions provided by owners regarding their pets' needs and preferences - Keep accurate records of each visit/walk, including distance, duration, and any notable observations - Monitor pets for signs of distress or illness and report any concerns to the business &amp; owner - Clean up after pets during walks/visits and dispose of waste properly - Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with clients and their pets - Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while handling dogs/petsSkills:- Animal care: Knowledge of basic animal care practices and understanding of dog behavior - Customer service: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service to clients - Pocket Pets: Experience working with small caged pets or other animals (preferred but not required) - Dog training: Basic knowledge of dog training techniques and ability to reinforce positive behaviors during walks - Pet sitting: Experience caring for pets in the absence of their owners, including feeding, watering, and administering medication (if necessary) - Dog handling: Ability to safely handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments during walks - Pet care: Understanding of the needs of different types of pets and ability to provide appropriate care - Veterinary: Familiarity with common health issues in dogs and ability to recognize signs of illness or injury - Heavy lifting: Ability to lift heavy objects such as bags of dog food or crates (if necessary)Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
