Our work requires precision, organization, and accountability, and we are building a team that takes pride in doing things the right way.As the company continues to grow, we are looking for a dependable Construction Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager who can help maintain clean financial records while supporting day to day office operations.What You Will Be Responsible For● Accounting Responsibilities● Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks● Process and maintain certified payroll in compliance with regulations● Track job costs and project expenses accurately● Prepare and post journal entries● Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements● Assist with month end and year end closing processes● Maintain clean and organized financial records and documentation● Support ownership with financial reporting when needed● Office and Administrative Responsibilities● Answer incoming phone calls when needed● Assist with scheduling estimates when the office coordinator is unavailable● Provide general administrative support to the team● Maintain organized office records and documentationWho Thrives in This Role● You enjoy keeping financial records clean, organized, and accurate● You take pride in catching small errors before they become bigger problems● You enjoy supporting a growing team and helping the business run smoothly● You are comfortable managing multiple responsibilities and staying organized● You like working in an environment where your work directly impacts the companyWho This Role Is Not For● Someone who struggles with organization or attention to detail● Someone who prefers minimal responsibility for financial accuracy● Someone who prefers a fully remote role● Someone who is uncomfortable working in a construction company environmentQualifications● Previous experience as a bookkeeper, staff accountant, or similar accounting role● Strong experience using QuickBooks● Experience with certified payroll strongly preferred● Experience with job costing and project-based accounting● Construction industry accounting experience strongly preferred● Strong understanding of journal entries and general ledger accountingCompensation and Benefits● Hourly Pay: $30 to $35 per hour depending on experience● Benefits available after 90 days● 401(k) with 3 percent employer match after one yearPay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
