The Raleigh County Public Library is anticipating an opening for:<ul><li>One (1) 20 - hour/week Library Aide position</li></ul>Starting hourly rate: $10.20These positions provide direct customer service at the Library&rsquo;s Service Desk and assist with maintaining organized, accessible collections.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Welcome and assist community members with library services.</li><li>Help patrons locate items in the library</li><li>Use library software to manage patron accounts.</li><li>Assist with computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, and other equipment.</li><li>Handle check-in/check-out of materials and process fee payments (cash/credit).</li><li>Maintain collections by cleaning and shelving materials.</li><li>Stay informed about library programs and services to answer patron questions, assist with programs as needed.</li><li>Ensure accurate organization of library materials using alphabetical and numeric systems.</li><li>Consistently provide courteous, professional customer service.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Strong skills in alphabetical/numerical organization, spelling, and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in person and by phone.</li><li>Basic computer knowledge and troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Customer service experience and ability to handle varied situations tactfully.</li><li>Flexibility to work a variable schedule including days, evenings, and weekends.</li></ul>Physical Demands<ul><li>Work performed primarily inside the library.</li><li>Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, talking, and hearing.</li><li>Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.</li></ul>Location: Raleigh County Public LibrarySchedule: Part-time, variable shifts (days/evenings/weekends)To apply, please submit your application and/or resume to the Raleigh County Public Library in person at 221 N Kanawha St Beckley WV 25801 or on IndeedJob Type: Part-timePay: From $10.20 per hourExpected hours: 20 per weekWork Location: In personThe library is open 9-7 Monday through Thursday, 9-5 Friday and Saturday, closed on Sunday.Job Type: Part-timePay: $10.20 per hourWork Location: In person
