Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Estate Planning Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide essential support in preparing estate planning documents, managing client files, and conducting legal research to ensure the smooth execution of estate planning strategies. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your expertise makes a meaningful impact.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist attorneys in drafting and reviewing estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.</li><li>Conduct thorough legal research across areas including estate planning, UCC law, tribal law &amp; regulations, and other relevant legal fields to support case development.</li><li>Manage and organize client files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.</li><li>Coordinate client interviews by preparing questionnaires, gathering necessary documentation, and documenting information accurately.</li><li>Support project management efforts by tracking deadlines, preparing status reports, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.</li><li>Review legal documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable laws; proofread all drafts meticulously.</li><li>Perform legal case management activities such as data entry, filing, document review, and maintaining organized records.</li><li>Provide executive administrative support by managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and maintaining professional communication with clients and team members.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong knowledge of estate planning, elder law, and guardianships.</li><li>Proficiency with legal software such as lawmatics, decisionvault, weatlhcounsel, and canva.</li><li>Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze complex legal issues efficiently.</li><li>Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with clarity and precision.</li><li>Proven experience in legal administrative tasks including data entry, filing systems, proofreading, transcription and document review.</li><li>Effective organizational skills to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.</li><li>Strong interviewing skills to gather comprehensive client information effectively.</li><li>Superior phone etiquette combined with professional communication skills for interacting with clients and team members alike.</li></ul>Join us in delivering exceptional legal support that empowers clients to protect their future!
