Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Estate Planning Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in drafting and reviewing estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
- Conduct thorough legal research across areas including estate planning, UCC law, tribal law & regulations, and other relevant legal fields to support case development.
- Manage and organize client files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate client interviews by preparing questionnaires, gathering necessary documentation, and documenting information accurately.
- Support project management efforts by tracking deadlines, preparing status reports, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Review legal documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable laws; proofread all drafts meticulously.
- Perform legal case management activities such as data entry, filing, document review, and maintaining organized records.
- Provide executive administrative support by managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and maintaining professional communication with clients and team members.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of estate planning, elder law, and guardianships.
- Proficiency with legal software such as lawmatics, decisionvault, weatlhcounsel, and canva.
- Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze complex legal issues efficiently.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with clarity and precision.
- Proven experience in legal administrative tasks including data entry, filing systems, proofreading, transcription and document review.
- Effective organizational skills to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
- Strong interviewing skills to gather comprehensive client information effectively.
- Superior phone etiquette combined with professional communication skills for interacting with clients and team members alike.
