This role will coordinate lab work with other Chemists on the team, take general direction/collaborate with Technical Specialists, and report directly to the Technical Team Leader.</li><li>This position is an exciting opportunity to join a team focused on growing and developing market opportunities and solving challenging problems in the laboratory which support our customers.</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in chemistry or materials science (or similar field) with 0-4 years of relevant lab/industrial experience or High School graduation with 4-8 years of relevant lab work experience</li><li>Fundamental understanding of dispersion and resin chemistry</li><li>Strong laboratory skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines</li><li>Experience and knowledge in formulation and application testing of water-based binders and related technologies is desirable, but not required.</li><li>Bonus if have relevant work experience in Building Envelope, Construction Adhesives, and/or Nonwovens industry.</li><li>Ability to solve problems, interpret results, offer ideas and solutions, and communicate next steps to key stakeholders</li><li>Ability to work effectively in both team and individual environments, with or without supervision.</li><li>Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)</li></ul>Formula for Success<ul><li>Provides technical applications support to internal and external Client customers in the Construction and Nonwovens industries.</li><li>Utilizes technical knowledge and stays current with trends, development, and innovations of products, test methods, and industry standards in the construction industry.</li><li>Drives customer-driven innovations and manages joint development projects.</li><li>Assists key stakeholders through solutions development, data generation, and evaluating Client products vs. competitive products.</li><li>Collaborates with cross-functional teams such as Technical Service, R&amp;D, Sales, and Marketing</li><li>Operates in compliance with EH&amp;S and ISO quality standards and maintains laboratory equipment according to 5S policies.</li><li>Contributes knowledge of test methods and writing of respective SOP/JSA.</li></ul>Job Type: ContractPay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Chemistry/Chemist laboratory and formulation: 2 years (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Charlotte, NC 28273 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Charlotte, NC 28273: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
