Diesel Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles</li><li>Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions.</li><li>Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts</li><li>Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts</li><li>Conducting field visits in case of an emergency or sudden breakdown</li><li>Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance.</li><li>Completing oil changes, and brake checks</li><li>Maintaining a clean and safe workspace</li><li>Ensuring all safety protocols are being followed.</li><li>Developing and implementing solutions to current challenges.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Diesel technician or mechanic.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system, and the mechanisms of a diesel engine</li><li>In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms</li><li>Solid knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment</li><li>Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills</li><li>Keen attention to detail</li><li>Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics</li><li>Collaboration and communication skills</li><li>CDL Class A or B preferred</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>Salary negotiable depending on experience.</li><li>Paid Weekly</li><li>Benefits after 60 days (including company provided life insurance)</li><li>Holidays after 90 days</li><li>Vacation time after 1 year</li><li>Base Shift 7:00a-3:30p Monday - Friday weekend hours may be required and can be discussed during interview.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $28.64 - $34.49 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
