Diesel Mechanic-Trailer Repair

Diesel Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
  • Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions.
  • Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts
  • Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts
  • Conducting field visits in case of an emergency or sudden breakdown
  • Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance.
  • Completing oil changes, and brake checks
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workspace
  • Ensuring all safety protocols are being followed.
  • Developing and implementing solutions to current challenges.

Requirements

  • Diesel technician or mechanic.
  • Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system, and the mechanisms of a diesel engine
  • In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms
  • Solid knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment
  • Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics
  • Collaboration and communication skills
  • CDL Class A or B preferred

Compensation

  • Salary negotiable depending on experience.
  • Paid Weekly
  • Benefits after 60 days (including company provided life insurance)
  • Holidays after 90 days
  • Vacation time after 1 year
  • Base Shift 7:00a-3:30p Monday - Friday weekend hours may be required and can be discussed during interview.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.64 - $34.49 per hour
