Office Manager (Remote) &ndash; Construction Operations &amp; Bookkeeping AssistantPart-time to Full-time (15&ndash;35 hours/week) Remote (Pacific Time business hours required)Compensation Based on ExperienceJob DescriptionWe are a California licensed general contractor, seeking an experienced Office Manager / Bookkeeper with a background in construction and project-based financial tracking. This role assists with the management of QuickBooks Online, assisting with job costing, invoicing and all general construction project administration.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Oversee employee onboarding, including coordination of hiring documentation, orientation support, and system setup</li><li>Process and track employee timesheets and assist with payroll coordination</li><li>Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of company systems and workflows, including training team members on new processes</li><li>Ensure company compliance with all insurance requirements and California contractor licensing regulations, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date records</li><li>Provide direct administrative support to the CEO, including managing calendar, scheduling appointments, and assisting with day-to-day operational and marketing needs</li><li>Assist with bookkeeping and basic marketing tasks as needed</li><li>Track accounts receivable (A/R) and follow up on outstanding invoices</li><li>Assist in managing accounts payable (A/P), including vendor invoices and payment coordination</li><li>Support project managers with preparation and organization of contracts, change orders, and proposals</li><li>Maintain and organize project files, ensuring consistency and accessibility</li></ul>Additional Expectation<ul><li>This role requires a high level of organization, accountability, and the ability to proactively identify and solve problems within a growing construction business.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>3+ years experience in construction office management and basic bookkeeping</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, tracking, basic reporting)</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace (Drive organization, Docs, Sheets)</li><li>Ability to create and maintain professional, client-ready documents</li><li>QuickBooks Online Experience</li><li>Experience with job costing, A/R, A/P</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills</li><li>Ability to work independently in a remote environment</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with a California General Contractor</li><li>QuickBooks Online Experience</li></ul>Hiring ProcessSelected candidates will complete a personality assessment and a short skills test related to bookkeeping or organization.Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hourExpected hours: 18.0 &ndash; 35.0 per weekExperience:<ul><li>construction office managment: 3 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: Remote
