Civil Litigation Paralegal or Law Clerk - Part Time Hybrid / Contract (Huntington Beach)Small Boutique Real Estate law firm is looking for a part time Hybrid Civil Paralegal or Law Clerk for approximately 20 hours per week. Can be contract or w2. Ideal hours would be three days per week with a weekly on site check in. He/she would be responsible for assisting attorney with all aspects of drafting pleadings, law and motion, discovery.Key Responsibilities:Drafting Discovery Requests and Responses: Form and special interrogatories, requests for production of documents, requests for admissions, and meet and confer letters.Pleadings: Various pleadings such as complaints, answers, motions and oppositions routinely used in civil litigation including demurrers, motions to strike, motions to compel, motions for summary judgment, etc.Legal Research: Conducting legal research necesary for each task.Communication: Maintaining communication with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a JD is Preferred. Experience in civil litigation is required. Familiarity with electronic discovery software and processes. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
