Position Summary</b></h3>
<p>
The Academy IT Support Specialist is responsible for managing the Academy help desk and providing Tier 1&ndash;2 technical support to staff and students. This role ensures day-to-day technology operations run smoothly across the Academy while allowing infrastructure-focused roles to remain focused on systems, security, and network operations.</p>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></h3>
<ul><li>Manage and maintain the help desk ticket queue</li>
<li>Prioritize and resolve Tier 1&ndash;2 support requests</li>
<li>Document issues, resolutions, and recurring trends</li>
<li>Escalate issues to the Systems Administrator when appropriate</li>
<li>Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, iPads, and Chromebooks</li>
<li>Perform device imaging, setup, and deployment</li>
<li>Manage 1:1 student device lifecycle (distribution, collection, tracking)</li>
<li>Support user login, account access, and application issues</li>
<li>Troubleshoot classroom AV systems, displays, and presentation tools</li>
<li>Assist teachers with classroom technology and instructional tools</li>
<li>Support connectivity between devices and classroom systems</li>
<li>Troubleshoot computers, user software, printers, and peripheral devices</li>
<li>Resolve basic network and connectivity issues</li>
<li>Support day-to-day technology needs across campus</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Requirements</b></h3>
<ul><li>A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ</li>
<li>Alignment with the mission and core values of Real Life Christian Academy</li>
<li>CompTIA A+ certification (required or in progress)</li>
<li>2+ years of hands-on IT support experience (preferred)</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Skills &amp; Qualifications</b></h3>
<ul><li>Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, ChromeOS, and iOS devices</li>
<li>Experience with device deployment, imaging, and management tools (MDM, Google Admin, or similar)</li>
<li>Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace</li>
<li>Experience supporting printers, AV systems, and peripherals</li>
<li>Ability to resolve Tier 1&ndash;2 issues independently with strong ticket management and documentation practices</li>
<li>Ability to prioritize based on urgency and impact using a help desk/ticketing system</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms</li>
<li>Patient and professional when supporting staff and students with a service-oriented mindset</li>
<li>Strong time management, multitasking ability, and detail-oriented with consistent follow-through</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and escalate when needed</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Background Screening Requirement</b></h3>
<p>
All candidates considered for employment with Real Life Christian Academy are required to complete a fingerprint-based background screening in accordance with Florida Department of Education requirements. This process is managed through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Clearinghouse.<br>
