<li>Tech-Savvy Communicator: Utilize the latest in project management software to keep everyone informed and decisions data-driven. Your proficiency will guide real-time adjustments and ensure project milestones are met with precision.</li>
<li>Ambassador of Reed: Maintain exemplary professional relationships with all project participants and the community, ensuring every interaction is handled with courtesy and professionalism.</li>

Who You Are:
<ul><li>Experienced Leader: With at least 6 years in a superintendent role and a history of managing large-scale projects, your expertise sets the standard for our team.</li>
<li>Quality-Focused: You strive for perfection on every project, aiming for a &ldquo;zero punch list&rdquo; and consistently delivering quality that impresses and inspires.</li>
<li>Decisive and Driven: You&rsquo;re known for your ability to manage multiple priorities, anticipate challenges, and pivot quickly to address changes without missing a beat.</li>
<li>Communicative and Collaborative: Excellent verbal and written skills complement your ability to document thoroughly and keep all team members aligned.</li>
<li>Tech-Proficient: Your skills with Microsoft Office are sharp, and experience with project management tools like Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, and PM Web Solutions is a plus.</li>

Family-owned and Chicago-based, Reed Construction has been a leader in the industry for over 130 years. We&rsquo;re seeking an experienced and driven Senior Project Manager (SPM) to lead custom home design/build and commercial projects from pre-construction through closeout. As a key member of the project management team, you&rsquo;ll be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while building strong client relationships and ensuring exceptional outcomes. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and client service.
Key Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to:
Project Ownership
<ul><li>Take full ownership of project outcomes&mdash;responsible for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction from preconstruction through closeout.</li>
<li>Lead the development and execution of estimates, schedules, GMPs, and contract documents with accuracy and clarity.</li>
<li>Negotiate and execute contracts and scopes of work with owners, subcontractors, and vendors; ensure alignment with project goals.</li>
<li>Drive financial performance through proactive cost management, forecasting, change order oversight, and timely billing.</li>
<li>Ensure full team alignment by clearly defining roles, responsibilities, and expectations across all phases of the project.</li>
<li>Anticipate risks, identify long-lead items, and implement proactive solutions to maintain project momentum.</li>
</ul>
Team &amp; Field Collaboration
<ul><li>Partner closely with field supervision to ensure quality standards, safety compliance, and efficient workflows.</li>
<li>Foster accountability and visibility across the project team; maintain regular, effective communication.</li>
<li>Handle multiple projects concurrently at various stages and locations.</li>
</ul>
Client Service &amp; Business Development
<ul><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.</li>
<li>Represent Reed at industry events, client meetings, and networking functions.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the Marketing &amp; Sales team on RFP strategies and pursuit efforts.</li>
<li>Identify repeat business and new opportunities through outstanding project execution.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications: The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, education, skill, and/or ability that is needed of an individual to perform this job successfully.
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, related field or equivalent relevant experience</li>
<li>Minimum 8+ years of project management with experience in custom residential and commercial construction.</li>
<li>Proven ability to lead complex, high-end residential and commercial projects with strong financial outcomes.</li>
<li>Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and client presentation skills.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to anticipate challenges and drive solutions.</li>
<li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsive.</li>
<li>Proficient in On-Screen Takeoff, Sage/Timberline, and Microsoft Project.</li>

What You Bring:

<li>BIM coordination, pull planning, and LEAN construction experience preferred.</li>

<li>Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.</li>
