<ul><li>Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patients</li><li>Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient&rsquo;s age-specific needs</li><li>Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities</li><li>Facilitates the patient&rsquo;s transition within and between health care settings</li><li>Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals</li><li>Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools</li><li>Consults with healthcare professionals</li><li>Trains patients and families on managing illnesses or injuries and disease prevention</li><li>Helps provide primary care to patients</li><li>Performs physical exams and patient observations</li><li>Records patient medical histories and symptoms</li><li>Creates patient care plans and contribute to existing plans</li><li>Orders, administers and analyzes diagnostic tests</li><li>Diagnose health issues</li><li>Detects changes in a patient&rsquo;s health and change treatment plans as necessary</li><li>Administers medicines and treatments</li><li>Evaluates responses to treatments and medications</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Must possess minimum one year experience working as a nurse practitioner</li><li>Master&rsquo;s degree from an accredited nursing program</li><li>Must have RN licensure in the state where employed or a compact party state and be board certified by either ANCC or AANP</li><li>Must have prescriptive authorization</li><li>APN authorization in the state where employed to practice in Family Health by the Board of Nurse Examiners</li><li>Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)</li><li>Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint</li><li>Knowledge of computer-based health data management programs and information systems</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, with medical partners at various levels, patients, family members, and physicians</li><li>Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA</li><li>Experience providing primary care as a family nurse practitioner</li></ul>Job Types: Part-time, PRNPay: From $46.00 per hourMedical Specialty:<ul><li>Primary Care</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Master's (Required)</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>Spanish (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
