This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of animals while developing valuable skills in pet training and customer service.Duties<ul><li>Supervise and safely manage groups of dogs of various sizes and temperaments</li><li>Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to maintain a safe environment</li><li>Walk dogs individually or in small groups</li><li>Ensure dogs are safely leashed and under control at all times</li><li>Clean up waste during walks and throughout the facility</li><li>Follow feeding schedules and basic care instructions for each dog</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of play areas, kennels, and common spaces</li><li>Clean up urine, feces, and other messes promptly</li><li>Perform routine cleaning tasks including mopping, disinfecting, and laundry</li><li>Monitor dogs for signs of illness, stress, or aggression</li><li>Separate dogs when needed to ensure safety</li><li>Report any incidents or concerns to management immediately</li><li>Communicate professionally with team members and pet owners as needed</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Experience working with dogs or animals strongly preferred (daycare, shelter, vet, or personal experience)</li><li>Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments</li><li>Must be confident working with multiple dogs in a group setting</li><li>Ability to stay calm and in control in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong awareness of dog behavior and body language (or willingness to learn)</li><li>Reliable, punctual, and responsible</li><li>Physically able to stand, walk, and be active for extended periods</li><li>Able to lift 40&ndash;50 lbs</li><li>Comfortable performing cleaning tasks throughout the shift</li><li>Good communication and teamwork skills</li><li>Must be 18 years or older</li><li>Previous dog handling or group play experience strongly preferred</li><li>Experience with reactive or high-energy dogs is a plus</li><li>Basic knowledge of dog behavior and safety practices</li><li>Must be comfortable correcting dog behavior and maintaining structure in a group setting</li></ul>This role is best suited for someone who is dependable, attentive, and comfortable with both hands-on animal care and cleaning responsibilities.
