Security Officer/Security &ndash; Behavioral Health Crisis Center of Eastern IdahoAbout UsThe Behavioral Health Crisis Center of Eastern Idaho (BHCC) is Idaho&rsquo;s leading flagship Crisis Center, providing immediate support and stabilization services to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. Our 20-bed facility offers short-term stabilization with the goal of reducing emergency room visits and incarceration while supporting our community and healthcare partners.Position SummaryThe Behavioral Health Crisis Center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Due to the nature of our services, security coverage is required at all times. We are seeking a dependable, professional, and team-oriented Security Officer who is willing to engage with clients, support staff, and help maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for both clients and employees.BHCC Security Officers are non-lethal security personnel who will receive taser certification through private patrolman training, as well as handcuff certification and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training. The Crisis Center is willing to provide training and certifications to qualified candidates. Applicants who already possess related certifications or experience are strongly encouraged to apply.Job Responsibilities<ul><li>Patrol the premises regularly to maintain order and establish a visible security presence</li><li>Monitor and authorize entry into the facility</li><li>Assist with removing trespassers or unauthorized individuals with management approval</li><li>Ensure all exits and secure areas remain monitored and secured</li><li>Monitor surveillance camera systems and investigate suspicious activity</li><li>Respond appropriately to alarms and emergency situations</li><li>Assist clients, visitors, and staff as needed</li><li>Detain individuals according to legal and organizational protocols until law enforcement arrives, when necessary</li><li>Maintain accurate logs of facility activity and visitors</li><li>Maintain required certifications, including:</li><li>Conductive Energy Weapon (Taser) recertification every two years</li><li>Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Ability to use computers and security camera systems</li><li>Strong communication, documentation, and report-writing skills</li><li>Ability to follow instructions and organizational protocols</li><li>Prior experience in military, corrections, law enforcement, or security preferred</li><li>Knowledge of self-defense or martial arts is beneficial</li><li>Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional when working with individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges</li><li>Must pass a background check</li></ul>Training &amp; DevelopmentBy the completion of the 90-day training period, qualified candidates will have the opportunity to become a certified Level 2 Security Officer/Private Patrolman with multiple certifications applicable to BHCC operations.Benefits<ul><li>Flexible scheduling</li><li>Health insurance</li></ul>Schedule<ul><li>12-hour shifts</li><li>Night shifts</li><li>Weekends and holidays required</li></ul>Location RequirementsApplicants must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Idaho Falls, Idaho 83401 prior to employment.Application Questions<ul><li>Do you have prior experience in military, law enforcement, corrections, or security?</li><li>Are you able to pass a background check?</li></ul>Work LocationIn person &ndash; Idaho Falls, IDTo apply, please submit your resume.Job Type: Full-timePay: $15.50 - $16.50 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development assistance</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Idaho Falls, ID 83401 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Idaho Falls, ID 83401: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
