Position Overview:The Pastoral Assistant is a vital ministry partner dedicated to supporting the Pastor. This role combines a heart for ministry and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint. The position will serve as a point of contact between the Pastor, staff, and laity.CORE RESPONSIBILITIESPastoral Support<ul><li>Provide support in all areas of ministry, including congregational care, weddings, funerals, worship services, and visitations.</li><li>Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all pastoral matters.</li><li>Demonstrate initiative in solving problems and streamlining church functions.</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned</li></ul>Administrative &amp; Logistical Operations <ul><li>Proactively seek ways to improve efficiency and effectively manage office workflows to maximize time for ministry.</li><li>Assist in managing the Pastor&rsquo;s schedule, handle incoming emails/phone calls for the Pastor.</li><li>Work in close coordination with the Office Secretary and Church Team Leaders, to coordinate tasks appropriately to maintain office efficiency.</li></ul>Worship &amp; Media Production <ul><li>Compile announcements for weekly bulletin</li><li>Prepare all slides for Sunday services, including worship, music, and announcement slides.</li><li>Regularly update the church&rsquo;s digital sign with upcoming events and community activities.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS:&middot; Minimum one- year administrative experience working with managers and/or executive&middot; Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)&middot; Exceptional clerical, organizational and logistical skills&middot; Detail oriented with ability to multi-task&middot; Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively with people&middot; Spiritual maturity with a committed relationship with Jesus Christ&middot; Experience in web design and maintenance a plus, but not requiredHOURS:Part-time position working 20 hours per week, 4 days per week in office.To Apply, please submit a resume to janinsc@yahoo.com.
