Administrative Assistant to Pastor

Position Overview:

The Pastoral Assistant is a vital ministry partner dedicated to supporting the Pastor. This role combines a heart for ministry and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint. The position will serve as a point of contact between the Pastor, staff, and laity.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Pastoral Support

  • Provide support in all areas of ministry, including congregational care, weddings, funerals, worship services, and visitations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all pastoral matters.
  • Demonstrate initiative in solving problems and streamlining church functions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Administrative & Logistical Operations

  • Proactively seek ways to improve efficiency and effectively manage office workflows to maximize time for ministry.
  • Assist in managing the Pastor’s schedule, handle incoming emails/phone calls for the Pastor.
  • Work in close coordination with the Office Secretary and Church Team Leaders, to coordinate tasks appropriately to maintain office efficiency.

Worship & Media Production

  • Compile announcements for weekly bulletin
  • Prepare all slides for Sunday services, including worship, music, and announcement slides.
  • Regularly update the church’s digital sign with upcoming events and community activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum one- year administrative experience working with managers and/or executive

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

· Exceptional clerical, organizational and logistical skills

· Detail oriented with ability to multi-task

· Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively with people

· Spiritual maturity with a committed relationship with Jesus Christ

· Experience in web design and maintenance a plus, but not required

HOURS:

Part-time position working 20 hours per week, 4 days per week in office.
