Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Tech to join our ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, supporting clinical operations, and ensuring accurate medical documentation. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment with a team committed to excellence in eye care.Responsibilities<ul><li>Conduct comprehensive patient intake, including gathering medical history and documenting symptoms</li><li>Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures using aseptic techniques</li><li>Operate and maintain ophthalmic diagnostic equipment such as optical coherence tomography (OCT) and other imaging devices</li><li>Manage medical records accurately</li><li>Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care, including medication instructions and eye health tips</li><li>Support front desk operations, and handling patient inquiries</li><li>Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security</li><li>Assist with inventory management of ophthalmic supplies and optical products</li><li>Support billing and coding processes related to ophthalmology services, ensuring accuracy for insurance claims</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Have problem solving skills</li><li>Ability to work alone or in a group</li><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Strong English skills a plus</li></ul>This position offers an engaging environment for professionals passionate about ophthalmic care.
