Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Tech to join our ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, supporting clinical operations, and ensuring accurate medical documentation. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment with a team committed to excellence in eye care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient intake, including gathering medical history and documenting symptoms
  • Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures using aseptic techniques
  • Operate and maintain ophthalmic diagnostic equipment such as optical coherence tomography (OCT) and other imaging devices
  • Manage medical records accurately
  • Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care, including medication instructions and eye health tips
  • Support front desk operations, and handling patient inquiries
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security
  • Assist with inventory management of ophthalmic supplies and optical products
  • Support billing and coding processes related to ophthalmology services, ensuring accuracy for insurance claims

Pay: From $14.01 per hour
