Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our vibrant Orthodontic team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting dedicated to excellence in orthodontic health.Duties<ul><li>Assist orthodontists during patient examinations, procedures, and adjustments with precision and efficiency</li><li>Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques</li><li>Take dental X-rays,ensuring accurate positioning and patient comfort</li><li>Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems)in Tops, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation</li><li>Educate patients on orthodontic care, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practices.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and proper anatomy knowledge for safe practice</li><li>Use dental terminology accurately to communicate effectively with team members and patients</li><li>Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones inquiries as a dental receptionist as needed, and managing medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially within pediatric or orthodontic settings</li><li>Proficiency with EMR systems is essential for efficient record management</li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical coding practices ensures compliance with privacy standards</li><li>Hands-on experience with X-ray techniques, including digital imaging and 3D scanners, is advantageous</li><li>Familiarity with chairside assisting techniques in orthodontics enhances workflow efficiency</li><li>Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques is required</li></ul>Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' smiles while advancing your career in a supportive and energetic environment!Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development assistance</li><li>Profit sharing</li></ul>Work Location: In person
