Part Time Medical Billing SpecialistJoin a growing counseling agency looking to add to their billing team.We are looking for a knowledgeable and dependable candidate to work about 20 hours per week from home. We offer a flexible working schedule that you can help create. Preferred knowledge in medical/mental health insurance terminology, benefit verifications, and claims processing.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Electronically prepare, review and transmit medical claims to commercial insurance payers</li><li>Update patient records</li><li>Applying payments per insurance EOBs</li><li>Following up with insurance payers on outstanding claims, appeals within standard billing time frames</li><li>Communicate with insurance carriers regarding billing and reimbursement</li><li>Communicate with billing team</li><li>Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA regulations</li><li>Performs related work as required and other projects and duties as assigned</li></ul>Qualifications:- Basic Computer Literacy- Be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team- Possess exceptional organizational and time management skills- Excellent phone and communication skills- Ability to multitask with numerous insurance claims systems- Maintain patient confidentiality as per HIPAA requirements- Previous knowledge of insurance billing/medical billing- Ability to communicate with insurance carriers- Must have access to updated, well-working computer with virus protectionBenefits:- Work remotely- Flexible hours- PTO- 401k retirement plan with matching contributions- Profit Share opportunity after 12 months of employment- Friendly and fun staff!!Job Type: Part-timePay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Do you have experience with the EMR system Theranest by Ensora?</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Medical billing: 1 year (Required)</li></ul>Location:<ul><li>Illinois (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: Remote
