Job Description &ndash; Customer Service RepresentativeJob Title: Customer Service RepresentativeFLSA Status: Non-exempt/Hourly Tuesday-Saturday 7am-4pm Reports to: Service Center ManagerJob Summary: The Customer Service Representative schedules deliveries, traces loads and responds to problems that arise during the day regarding pick-ups or deliveries. The CSR communicates with customers on their freight in regard to delays or accessorials.Essential Functions:&middot; Perform prompt and complete data entry&middot; Enter accurate customer orders in computer system&middot; Monitor on-time performance for driver delivery and pick-up&middot; Prepare tracking reports&middot; Develop knowledge base of all customers&middot; Develop relationships of all customers&middot; Understand and abide by various customer requirements&middot; Resolve customer problems promptly and efficiently&middot; Understand the operations and rules of the various rail carriers and piers&middot; Communicate with Dispatchers to avoid any problems with loads or transports and resolve any issues that may occur&middot; Cooperate with Revenue Team to retain and/or develop business&middot; Trace and monitor existing loads in the system to prevent problems from occurring&middot; Other duties as assignedRequirements:&middot; Experience in intermodal transportation or import/export business preferred&middot; Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal&middot; Excellent computer skills&middot; Ability to effectively multi-task when necessary&middot; Flexible; able to work in past-paced environment&middot; Ability to work independently and make informed decisions&middot; Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and relative experience&middot; Ability to work long hours/swing shift hours if necessary to handle special customer requestsAll potential new hires must pass a drug screen and back ground.Job Type: Full-timePay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Shift:<ul><li>8 hour shift</li><li>Day shift</li></ul>Work Location: In person
