POSITION SUMMARY 
The Respiratory Therapy Coordinator manages the daily operations of respiratory care services, ensuring high-quality patient care for individuals with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, staff coordination, and administrative responsibilities. 
 
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 
<ul><li>Education/Licensure/Certification or credentials
</li></ul>Required:<ul><li>
Completed a minimum one-year technician program at an accredited college for respiratory therapy.</li><li>
Successfully completed the National Board for Respiratory Care certification exam and/or registry exams.</li><li>Skill/Experience/Competency</li></ul><ul><li>
Two years accumulated work experience in a similar job and/or hospital respiratory therapy department.</li><li>
Effective customer service/interpersonal skills at all times.</li><li>
Ability to handle a variety of duties which may be interrupted or changed by immediate circumstances.</li></ul>
Knowledge and the ability to utilize:<ul><li>
The theory of respiratory therapy medicine</li><li>
Human anatomy and physiology</li><li>
The disease process of the body to carry out the values of respiratory therapy agents.</li></ul>
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS 
<ul><li>Work Environment</li></ul>
Works in a hospital environment. Coordinator role combines direct patient care with administrative tasks, including managing staff assignments, training and ensuring quality, safety and patient throughput. 
 
<ul><li>Physical Demands</li></ul><ul><li>
The ideal candidate must be able to work and complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.</li><li>
Enjoy working with people and works cooperatively with other hospital staff.</li><li>
Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication.</li><li>
Physical and intellectual capacity to carry out treatment programs and documentation as required by the position.</li><li>
Pushing/Pulling, Patient handling: Moving equipment/patients, often requiring force.</li><li>
Continuous walking, constant kneeling, stooping, bending, twisting and occasional need to lift patients</li><li>
High level of hand-eye coordination for setting up ventilators, handling small parts, and typing for documentation.</li><li>
Moderate Lifting, occasionally lifting to 50 lbs. maximum with assistance, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 20-40 lbs.</li></ul>
Pay Range 
CRT- $32.79 - $43.81, RRT- $38.13 - $51.25
