POSITION SUMMARY
The Respiratory Therapy Coordinator manages the daily operations of respiratory care services, ensuring high-quality patient care for individuals with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, staff coordination, and administrative responsibilities.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Education/Licensure/Certification or credentials

Required:

• Completed a minimum one-year technician program at an accredited college for respiratory therapy.
• Successfully completed the National Board for Respiratory Care certification exam and/or registry exams.
• Skill/Experience/Competency

• Two years accumulated work experience in a similar job and/or hospital respiratory therapy department.
• Effective customer service/interpersonal skills at all times.
• Ability to handle a variety of duties which may be interrupted or changed by immediate circumstances.

Knowledge and the ability to utilize:

• The theory of respiratory therapy medicine
• Human anatomy and physiology
• The disease process of the body to carry out the values of respiratory therapy agents.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Work Environment

Works in a hospital environment. Coordinator role combines direct patient care with administrative tasks, including managing staff assignments, training and ensuring quality, safety and patient throughput.

• Physical Demands

• The ideal candidate must be able to work and complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Enjoy working with people and works cooperatively with other hospital staff.
• Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication.
• Physical and intellectual capacity to carry out treatment programs and documentation as required by the position.
• Pushing/Pulling, Patient handling: Moving equipment/patients, often requiring force.
• Continuous walking, constant kneeling, stooping, bending, twisting and occasional need to lift patients
• High level of hand-eye coordination for setting up ventilators, handling small parts, and typing for documentation.
• Moderate Lifting, occasionally lifting to 50 lbs. maximum with assistance, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 20-40 lbs.

Pay Range
CRT- $32.79 - $43.81, RRT- $38.13 - $51.25
