About usRochester Family Orthodontics is a small, privately-owned orthodontic practice in Rochester, New York. Our goal is to provide excellent orthodontic care to patients of all ages in a professional and welcoming environment. We are a single location practice with a modern office setting.We are looking for the right candidate to help grow the practice. Prior experience in orthodontics/dentistry and treatment coordination are not required but desirable.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Take clinical records (photos, radiographs, digital impressions)</li><li>Keep track of new patient exams and starts</li><li>Assist chairside for certain procedures</li><li>Take payments</li><li>Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience</li><li>Schedule and confirm appointments for patients</li><li>Collect and update patient information in electronic orthodontic records system</li><li>Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims</li><li>Assist with treatment planning and presenting treatment and financial options to patients</li><li>Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed</li><li>Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations</li><li>Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns</li><li>Assist with front office tasks such as answering phones, filing, and managing patient records</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Previous experience working in a medical or dental office setting is a plus</li><li>Proficiency in using office systems such as Eaglesoft, Epic (we will train on our software)</li><li>Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills</li><li>Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively</li><li>Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Continuing education credits</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Free parking</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Paid training</li><li>Professional development assistance</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Uniform allowance</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)</li><li>Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)</li><li>Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Rochester, NY 14620 (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
