Rochester Family Orthodontics is a small, privately-owned orthodontic practice in Rochester, New York. Our goal is to provide excellent orthodontic care to patients of all ages in a professional and welcoming environment. We are a single location practice with a modern office setting.
We are looking for the right candidate to help grow the practice. Prior experience in orthodontics/dentistry and treatment coordination are not required but desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Take clinical records (photos, radiographs, digital impressions)
- Keep track of new patient exams and starts
- Assist chairside for certain procedures
- Take payments
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule and confirm appointments for patients
- Collect and update patient information in electronic orthodontic records system
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Assist with treatment planning and presenting treatment and financial options to patients
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns
- Assist with front office tasks such as answering phones, filing, and managing patient records
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical or dental office setting is a plus
- Proficiency in using office systems such as Eaglesoft, Epic (we will train on our software)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
- Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
