Job Overview: Rocky Mountain Landscape Materials is seeking a dedicated Equipment Operator and Laborer to join our team. As a key member of our pit operations, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and conducting labor intensive work in a safe and effective manner. All employees must adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by the Mine and Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) as required under Rocky Mountain Landscape Materials, LLC.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Operate machinery or equipment as trained in a smooth professional manner consisting of: Loading trucks, Maintaining roads, ponds and storm water drainage areas, Hauling material to crushing or screening equipment, Stockpiling.</li><li>Perform start up and shutdown checks and monitor gauges and alarms on equipment.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance on equipment.</li><li>Change screens, belts, bearings, wear parts, check oil levels in gear boxes and machinery. Shoveling, trash cleanup, cleaning under and around screen plants.</li><li>Keep track of hours on the screen plants and loaders.</li><li>Keep track of bucket counts for quantity tracking.</li><li>Follow directions and communicate with other crew members.</li><li>Be aware of other hazards in the quarry area such as other equipment and truck traffic.</li><li>Loading, moving, digging, scooping, leveling dirt, sand, and gravel using appropriate equipment and manual tools (pick, shovel, or rake).</li><li>Lift, carry, load, and unload tools and supplies.</li></ul>When not performing the above mentioned essential duties and responsibilities, may assist in other operations as designated by supervisor.Safety Policies and ProceduresMust be knowledgeable about and follow the company&rsquo;s safety policies and procedures as described in the company safety manual.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.<ul><li>Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.</li><li>Climb ladders and/or steps up to 25 feet tall.</li><li>Sit for long periods of time.</li><li>Stand for long periods of time.</li><li>Frequently Push.</li><li>Frequently Balance.</li><li>Frequently Kneel.</li><li>Frequently Crouch.</li><li>Frequently Stoop.</li><li>Frequently Crawl.</li><li>Occasionally shovel for long periods of time.</li><li>Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs including overhead.
