Position Summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Workers&rsquo; Compensation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in managing all phases of Connecticut workers&rsquo; compensation cases from intake through resolution. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage a high-volume caseload, and familiarity with Connecticut Workers&rsquo; Compensation Commission procedures.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist attorneys in all aspects of workers&rsquo; compensation matters, including client intake, case development, and file management.</li><li>Draft and file legal documents such as Forms 30C, hearing requests, subpoenas, and medical authorizations.</li><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and calendars, including hearing dates, deadlines, and benefit payments.</li><li>Obtain, review, and summarize medical records and employment records.</li><li>Communicate effectively with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and the Workers&rsquo; Compensation Commission.</li><li>Prepare hearing packets, settlement documents (e.g., Stipulations and Voluntary Agreements), and correspondence.</li><li>Track and monitor benefits, liens, and reimbursements.</li><li>Support attorneys at formal and informal hearings as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Minimum 2 years of paralegal experience preferred; workers&rsquo; compensation experience in Connecticut strongly preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with Connecticut Workers&rsquo; Compensation Commission procedures and forms.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to handle multiple cases with excellent time management.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.</li><li>Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred.</li></ul>Compensation and Benefits:<ul><li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience.</li><li>Ability to work from home when necessary</li><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance.</li><li>Paid time off and holidays.</li><li>401(k) and other benefits.</li><li>Opportunities for professional development and advancement.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $59,202.30 - $71,297.39 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
