This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, friendly setting dedicated to improving oral health.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.</li><li>Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.</li><li>Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance.</li><li>Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.</li><li>Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging as needed to support comprehensive patient evaluations.</li><li>Support administrative tasks including dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and managing medical documentation.</li></ul>Skills1 + Years experience required<ul><li>Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilization procedures following aseptic techniques.</li><li>Proficiency with dental software platforms such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for scheduling and record keeping.</li><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.</li><li>Experience with X-ray technology, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools used in general dentistry and specialized fields like prosthodontics or endodontics.</li><li>Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records and documentation.</li><li>Ability to perform dental assisting tasks efficiently while maintaining a compassionate approach toward pediatric patients and their families.</li><li>Knowledge of medical coding practices related to dental procedures for accurate recordkeeping and billing purposes.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and hygienists.
