Dental Assistant (1 + year experience required)

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
  • Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
  • Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging as needed to support comprehensive patient evaluations.
  • Support administrative tasks including dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and managing medical documentation.

Skills

1 + Years experience required

  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilization procedures following aseptic techniques.
  • Proficiency with dental software platforms such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for scheduling and record keeping.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.
  • Experience with X-ray technology, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools used in general dentistry and specialized fields like prosthodontics or endodontics.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records and documentation.
  • Ability to perform dental assisting tasks efficiently while maintaining a compassionate approach toward pediatric patients and their families.
  • Knowledge of medical coding practices related to dental procedures for accurate recordkeeping and billing purposes.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
