This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across general dentistry and specialized fields such as pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and more.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist dentists during a variety of procedures, including chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient comfort and workflow</li><li>Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed in accordance with HIPAA regulations</li><li>Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control standards</li><li>Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and coding</li><li>Handle billing processes by verifying insurance coverage, submitting claims via dental billing software like Eaglesoft, and following up on outstanding payments</li><li>Educate patients on treatment plans, post-operative care, and dental terminology to promote oral health awareness</li><li>Maintain knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental procedures across specialties including pediatrics, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation</li><li>Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times</li><li>Experience with dental imaging techniques including X-ray procedures and 3D scanning technology</li><li>Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques necessary for safe clinical environments</li><li>Ability to perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort during procedures</li><li>Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices to effectively assist young patients in a friendly manner</li><li>Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist to coordinate appointments and facilitate patient flow efficiently</li></ul>Join us in delivering exceptional dental care through energetic teamwork and meticulous attention to detail.
