The Role

As a Child and Family Victim Advocate, you are the first welcoming face a family meets and a continued resource and support throughout the life of their case. You serve as a bridge between the family and the justice system&mdash;offering immediate crisis support, vital psychoeducation, and connector to resources. From the initial greeting to court preparation and accompaniment, you ensure no family navigates this journey alone.
<ul>
<li>Team Environment: You will work daily alongside law enforcement, medical professionals, and social workers.</li>
<li>On-Call Availability: To ensure 24/7 support for our community, this position requires participation in a scheduled on-call.</li>
<li>Advocacy: You will empower non-offending caregivers and ensure the child's voice is heard throughout the investigative process.</li></ul> 


Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.</li>
<li>Experience: Experience in trauma-informed care or the judicial system is a plus.</li>
<li>Skills: Exceptional empathy, detailed record-keeping, and the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.</li>
<li>Bilingual Skills: Spanish-speaking ability is highly valued but not required.</li></ul>
