Job SummarySaint Florian, a modern American Restaurant located in Hudson, NY seeks a friendly and motivated Host to join our team!In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a smooth dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and maintaining an inviting atmosphere in our restaurant. A passion for hospitality and excellent customer service skills are essential to succeed in this position.This role will begin with shifts on Friday and Saturday evenings, from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM, and will receive an hourly rate as well as percentage of pooled tips.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.</li><li>Manage the seating chart and ensure timely seating of guests based on their reservations.</li><li>Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure seamless service.</li><li>Assist in managing guest flow during peak hours to minimize wait times.</li><li>Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests.</li><li>Handle guest inquiries and resolve any concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.</li><li>Manage Reservations and Waitlists to maximize seating potential.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment for all patrons.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong hospitality skills with a focus on customer service excellence.</li><li>Excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with guests and staff.</li><li>Experience in guest relations within restaurant settings is preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with food service operations and Toast POS system is a plus.</li><li>Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.</li><li>A positive attitude and willingness to help others contribute to an enjoyable dining experience.</li></ul>Join us as we create memorable experiences for our guests through exceptional service!Job Type: Part-timePay: From $20.00 per hourShift:<ul><li>Evening shift</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Hudson, NY 12534 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Hudson, NY 12534: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
