Saint Vincent de Paul in West Bend is in search of a candidate whose position will be in donations, cashiering, and/or merchandising, full or part-time, available. Must be available evenings and weekends. Cashiering expertise preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.General InformationThe St. Vincent de Paul Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting individuals and families in need. Our thrift stores play a critical role in funding local assistance programs, while also providing affordable goods and direct support to the community.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Greet and assist customers in a friendly and respectful manner</li><li>Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately</li><li>Provide receipts for all transactions</li><li>Answer customer questions and phone inquiries</li><li>Support donation intake and provide receipts upon request</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized sales floor and dock area</li><li>Assist with merchandising, stocking, fitting rooms, and displays</li><li>Prepare and stock concession items</li><li>Thank customers for supporting the mission</li><li>Follow all company policies and procedures</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned</li><li>Quickly assist customers</li><li>Must have a positive attitude</li><li>Keep dock area neat, clean, and organized</li><li>Follow company guidelines, per the employee handbook</li><li>Performs all other assigned duties</li></ul>Knowledge, skills and abilities:<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent preferred not required for High school students</li><li>Be a role model in promoting the SVdP mission, values, and standards</li><li>Display good leadership and communication skills</li><li>Excellent in problem solving and a good motivator</li><li>Excellent organizational skills</li><li>Ability to make good decisions</li><li>Good Customer Service Skills</li><li>Ability to multitask and work independently</li><li>Ability to follow directions</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs</li><li>Ability to stand, bend, twist, and move for extended periods</li><li>Ability to use ladders and stairs safely</li></ul>Benefits &amp; PerksFull-Time Employee Eligibility:<ul><li>Bonus structure</li><li>Paid Birthday</li><li>Health, Dental &amp; Vision Insurance</li><li>Generous Paid Time Off (PTO)</li><li>Holiday pay</li></ul>Additional Benefits:<ul><li>Sunday shift premium</li><li>Employee discount</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $12.48 - $14.06 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Shift availability:<ul><li>Day Shift (Preferred)</li><li>Night Shift (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
