This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a caring environment dedicated to improving patient experiences through professionalism and proactive support.&lt;Duties&gt;<ul><li>Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks</li><li>Schedule appointments efficiently while managing calendar updates and patient flow to minimize wait times</li><li>Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process medical collections accurately</li><li>Handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages when necessary</li><li>Maintain accurate medical records by filing documents, reviewing documentation for completeness, and updating patient charts in compliance with HIPAA regulations</li><li>Assist with medical billing tasks including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and documentation review to ensure accurate claims submission</li><li>Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and managing office supplies to keep the front desk organized and efficient</li></ul>&lt;Skills&gt;<ul><li>Strong knowledge of EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or Dentrix; experience with Eaglesoft is a plus</li><li>Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and familiarity with healthcare documentation standards</li><li>Experience with insurance verification processes including Medicare and other payers; understanding of medical billing and collections procedures</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in bilingual environments if applicable</li><li>Demonstrated clerical skills including typing (10 key typing), Microsoft Office suite proficiency, filing, and managing multi-line phone systems</li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times</li><li>Previous clinic or dental office experience is highly desirable; familiarity with dental terminology and dental office management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is a plus</li><li>Ability to handle high-volume patient intake efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure</li></ul>This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for patients while supporting the smooth operation of our healthcare facility.
