Key ResponsibilitiesA. Psychology Teaching Responsibilities (HSC Level)1. Curriculum Delivery<ul><li>Teach Psychology to HSC students according to the prescribed board syllabus (State Board / CBSE / ISC or relevant authority).</li><li>Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and practical activities.</li><li>Explain psychological theories, research methods, cognitive processes, personality, intelligence, mental health, and disorders.</li><li>Conduct practical sessions and guide students in project work.</li></ul>2. Assessment &amp; Evaluation<ul><li>Prepare question papers, assignments, and internal assessments.</li><li>Conduct periodic tests, practical exams, and pre-board examinations.</li><li>Evaluate answer scripts and maintain academic records.</li><li>Provide feedback and remedial support to students.</li></ul>3. Academic Mentoring<ul><li>Guide students in career paths related to psychology and allied fields.</li><li>Support students preparing for competitive exams.</li><li>Encourage research-based learning and critical thinking.</li></ul>B. School Counsellor Responsibilities1. Student Counselling &amp; Mental Health Support<ul><li>Provide individual and group counselling sessions.</li><li>Address emotional, behavioral, academic, and social concerns.</li><li>Support students dealing with stress, anxiety, peer pressure, exam stress, and family issues.</li><li>Maintain confidentiality and ethical counselling standards.</li></ul>2. Career Guidance<ul><li>Conduct career guidance sessions for HSC students.</li><li>Assist students in selecting higher education courses and career paths.</li><li>Organize career workshops, aptitude assessments, and seminars.</li></ul>3. Crisis Intervention<ul><li>Identify students at risk and provide appropriate intervention.</li><li>Coordinate with parents, teachers, and external professionals when necessary.</li><li>Develop preventive mental health awareness programs.</li></ul>4. Parent &amp; Teacher Collaboration<ul><li>Conduct parent counselling sessions when required.</li><li>Work with teachers to identify students needing psychological support.</li><li>Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Master&rsquo;s Degree in Psychology (M.A./M.Sc. Psychology).</li><li>B.Ed. (mandatory for teaching role as per board norms).</li><li>Diploma/Certification in School Counselling (preferred).</li><li>1&ndash;3 years of relevant experience preferred.</li></ul>Required Skills<ul><li>Strong knowledge of psychological principles.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Empathy, patience, and emotional intelligence.</li><li>Ability to handle sensitive issues professionally.</li><li>Classroom management skills.</li><li>Record-keeping and documentation skills.</li></ul>Working Conditions<ul><li>Full-time position in higher secondary schools/junior colleges.</li><li>Combination of teaching hours and counselling sessions.</li><li>Participation in school activities, meetings, and workshops.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
