This position is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring all guests receive fast, friendly, and responsible service.This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment, requiring strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.Expectations<ul><li>Enthusiastically support SANDY&rsquo;S &lsquo;ALL IN&rsquo; Mission, Vision &amp; Values.</li><li>Establish a positive, fun-filled atmosphere that provides value for all customers and co-workers.</li><li>Maintain a punctual attendance record.</li><li>Stays up to date on upcoming SANDY&rsquo;S events and promotions.</li><li>Stays up to date with technology standards related to cyber security, IT standards, etc.</li><li>Mandatory training sessions prior to race season</li><li>Must complete all required certifications (including alcohol service, if applicable)</li><li>Expected to follow all Sandy Ridge SOPs and service standards</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Foster an environment that embodies Sandy&rsquo;s #ALL IN philosophy by creating a fun-filled, entertaining atmosphere. Enthusiastically promote Sandy&rsquo;s culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations.</li><li>Attend STAR training.</li><li>Provides beverage service to guests in assigned area.</li><li>Communicates all orders to Bartenders.</li><li>Responsible for providing payment of beverages to Bartenders and collecting payment of beverages from guests.</li><li>Completes daily checklist of items to be re-stocked and cleaned.</li><li>Communicates areas in need of special attention to better facilitate quality guest service.</li><li>Keeps assigned areas neat and orderly, retrieving all glassware and emptying all ash trays.</li><li>Complies with all policies and procedures.</li><li>Performs normal supervisory duties and other duties as assigned by management.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Must be 21 years of age or older</li><li>Previous bartending or serving experience preferred (but not required &ndash; training provided)</li><li>Strong communication and customer service skills</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented</li><li>Must successfully obtain and maintain a valid KHRC Badge as a condition of employment</li></ul>Education &amp; Experience<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>A minimum of one-year previous serving skills with high volume sales preferred.</li></ul>Working Environment<ul><li>Outdoor and semi-outdoor bar setups</li><li>High-volume service (2,000&ndash;5,000 guests per race day)</li><li>Long periods of standing, walking, and lifting (up to 30 lbs)</li><li>Fast-paced and high-energy atmosphere</li><li>Must be able to lift, carry and/or push a minimum of 50 lbs.</li><li>Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp objects and the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.</li><li>Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights.</li><li>Seasonal (Race Days Only &ndash; 2026 Season)</li><li>Flexible scheduling based on race calendar</li><li>Must be available for all scheduled race days and required training sessions</li></ul>Physical/Mental Requirements<ul><li>Ability to stand for extended periods (5&ndash;8+ hours)</li><li>Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions</li><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (cases, ice, supplies)</li><li>Must be able to lift and handle up to 50lbs without assistance.</li><li>Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, reach and turn/twist for extended periods of time.</li><li>Must be able to solve problems, organize and plan multiple projects, interpret data, and make decisions.</li><li>Must possess problem-solving skills.</li></ul>Pay: $8.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li></ul>Shift:<ul><li>8 hour shift</li></ul>People with a criminal record are encouraged to applyEducation:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Ashland, KY 41102 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Ashland, KY 41102: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
