Sandy's Racing | Gaming is currently seeking a Beverage Server/Bartender to play a critical role in a Beverage Department at Sandy Ridge Racetrack.
As Beverage Server, you will be responsible for promptly serving beverages to all guests with a friendly, upbeat, and positive attitude.
Position Overview
The Seasonal Bartender/Beverage Server plays a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience during live race days at Sandy Ridge Racetrack. This position is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring all guests receive fast, friendly, and responsible service.
This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment, requiring strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

- Mandatory training sessions prior to race season
- Must complete all required certifications (including alcohol service, if applicable)
- Expected to follow all Sandy Ridge SOPs and service standards
Responsibilities
- Foster an environment that embodies Sandy’s #ALL IN philosophy by creating a fun-filled, entertaining atmosphere. Enthusiastically promote Sandy’s culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations.
- Attend STAR training.
- Provides beverage service to guests in assigned area.
- Communicates all orders to Bartenders.
- Responsible for providing payment of beverages to Bartenders and collecting payment of beverages from guests.
- Completes daily checklist of items to be re-stocked and cleaned.
- Communicates areas in need of special attention to better facilitate quality guest service.
- Keeps assigned areas neat and orderly, retrieving all glassware and emptying all ash trays.
- Complies with all policies and procedures.
- Performs normal supervisory duties and other duties as assigned by management.
- Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Previous bartending or serving experience preferred (but not required – training provided)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Must successfully obtain and maintain a valid KHRC Badge as a condition of employment
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of one-year previous serving skills with high volume sales preferred.
Working Environment
- Outdoor and semi-outdoor bar setups
- High-volume service (2,000–5,000 guests per race day)
- Long periods of standing, walking, and lifting (up to 30 lbs)
- Fast-paced and high-energy atmosphere
- Must be able to lift, carry and/or push a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp objects and the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
- Seasonal (Race Days Only – 2026 Season)
- Flexible scheduling based on race calendar
- Must be available for all scheduled race days and required training sessions
Physical/Mental Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (5–8+ hours)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (cases, ice, supplies)
- Must be able to lift and handle up to 50lbs without assistance.
- Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, reach and turn/twist for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to solve problems, organize and plan multiple projects, interpret data, and make decisions.
- Must possess problem-solving skills.
